Speciallady Awareness Global is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits this website, contacts us, donates, or takes part in our sessions and events. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Information we collect
When you contact us
If you send us a message through the contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation.
When you donate
Donations are processed through our donation platform. We receive your name, email address, donation amount and, where you provide it, your address for Gift Aid purposes. We never see or store your full card details. Those are handled directly by our payment provider, which is certified to the PCI DSS security standard.
When you attend a session or event
If you register for or attend one of our sessions, we may record your name and contact details, along with any access or safety information you choose to share so that we can support you properly. Information about your health is only ever collected if you volunteer it, and it is treated as special category data under UK data protection law: we keep it to a minimum, restrict who can see it, and never share it without your explicit consent.
When you visit the website
Like most websites, ours records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and how to improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data on our behalf; you can read Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out using Google’s browser add-on.
When you comment or upload
If you leave a comment, we store the content of the comment together with the name, email address, IP address and browser information submitted with it, which helps us detect spam. If you upload an image, please note that images can carry embedded location data, so remove it first if you would rather not share where a photograph was taken.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses them for three purposes:
- Essential cookies that make the site work, for example remembering your donation in progress or keeping you logged in if you have an account.
- Performance cookies set by our caching system so pages load quickly.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies aside, blocking them will not stop you using the site.
Why we are allowed to use your information
Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Consent, for marketing emails, for analytics, and for any health information you choose to share with us. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests, for responding to enquiries, running our sessions safely, and understanding how our website is used.
- Legal obligation, for financial records, Gift Aid claims and safeguarding duties.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: our website host, our email provider, our donation and payment processor, and Google Analytics. Each of them is bound to use the information only for the service they provide to us.
We will disclose information where the law requires it, or where there is a serious risk to someone’s safety.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and contact form messages: up to two years after our last contact with you.
- Donation and Gift Aid records: seven years, as required for financial and tax purposes.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Website analytics: retained by Google according to the retention period set on our account.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@specialladyawarenessglobal.org.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Children
This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe we hold information about a child, contact us and we will remove it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other organisations and to our social media profiles. This policy does not cover those sites, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

We review this policy periodically and will update the date at the top whenever it changes. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
